Your Nextbase™ Dash Camera and MyNextbase Connect App features life-saving crash detection and emergency alerting technology. It is designed to automatically and directly connect you to the nearest Ambulance Service in the event of an accident when you are unable to call for assistance.

In order for this function to work, you must have the ‘MyNextbase Connect™’ app installed on your smartphone (or similar device), have an internet connection, and have Bluetooth (4.2+) turned on. ‘MyNexbase Connect™’ can be downloaded from the Apple App Store® or Google Play®.

Once you park, the Dash Cam automatically switches to “parking mode,” shutting down everything except the G-Force sensor.

Should physical movement of the vehicle be detected, the Dash Cam will power on and start recording a 30-second protected video. If no further physical movement is detected then the Dash Cam will return to standby mode.

The Nextbase Alexa Skills gives you the ability to use voice commands to your Dash Cam — such as “Start recording,” “Take a picture,” “Stop recording,” or “Disable audio” — without having to take your eyes off the road or your hands off the steering wheel. In addition, you can also use Alexa on your Nextbase to play music, place calls, check the weather, control smart home devices, get directions, find parking, and more.

In order for this function to work, you must have both the ‘MyNextbase Connect™’ and the ‘Amazon Alexa’ app installed on your smartphone (Android 6+ or iOS 13+), have an internet connection, and have Bluetooth (4.2+) turned on. Within this menu, you will be able to turn your Dash Cam’s Alexa functions ON or OFF, and manage paired devices. Note that you may need to update firmware for Alexa to function.

A touch screen allows the dash cam to be smaller and more discreet while making the camera easier to use. For instance, you can perform “on Dash Cam editing” – simply edit your videos on the Dash Cam itself using the touch screen and then view and share a smaller clip showing just the incident.

Bluetooth Autosync also means that your dash cam is automatically connected to MyNextbase Connect™ on your smartphone when you enter the car, ready to use the Emergency SOS service or Alexa.

MyNextbase Connect™ is an easy-to-use app that will enable you to effortlessly manage and share your videos, edit clips, and check for and install firmware updates.

MyNextbase Cloud™ is Nextbase’s free online video sharing service where you can safely and securely store your Dash Cam files. Upload your file to the Nextbase™ Server using the ‘Share Video’ function on either MyNextbase Player™, or the MyNextbase Connect™ app. Added bonus - you will have the option to protect your video with a password. Once your video has finished uploading you will be given a secure link to watch your video online and/or download it to your computer/device. This link can be shared with others (including your insurer) to view/download the video. Videos will be automatically deleted 30 days after they are uploaded.
