In difficult times like these, it may be challenging to find things to do that can truly help you cope, stay sane, feel connected, and make sense of the world. You might be tempted to go for a drive to take advantage of the empty roads or just relieve the boredom (and stress) of self-isoloation. Our government hasn’t banned driving yet but keep in mind that if you get into a collision, you will be put in a situation where you will come in close contact with other people, including paramedics, firefighters and police officers - contact that increases the chances of transmitting the virus.
If you absolutely need to take the car out, may we recommend try timing it for the early evening so you could join in on the worldwide applause for frontline staff, too, and it’s been quite spectacular in many cities.
