Then, connect the adapter with the SD card to your computer. Next, launch the BlackVue PC / Mac Viewer program you downloaded.

What are the features of the BlackVue Viewer?
More than just viewing your dash cam’s footage, the BlackVue Viewer also highlights features to help you manage your BlackVue dash cam overall. Through the Viewer, users can easily reboot the camera, format the micro SD card, set up camera notifications, update your dash cam firmware settings.
Video Management
On the left side of the screen, you should see a section labeled playlist containing the files of your footage. Double-clicking on any footage will begin playing it. With the buttons at the top of the file list, you can specify what type of footage you would like to find.
Specific footage via date captured
If you wish to find the dash cam footage based on a specific date, you can navigate over the files by clicking the calendar icon.
Specific footage via recording mode
The upside-down pyramid icon next to the calendar will give you the option to choose what type of camera recording you want to playback – from Normal, Parking, Event and Manual recording, to front, rear, interior (if applicable) cameras.
Deleting or downloading videos
If you wish to download or delete dash cam footage on your micro SD card, the next icon with three vertical dots allows you to do so, which is more convenient compared to having to go through each file and deleting or downloading one by one.
Video Playback
The main feature of the BlackVue Viewer is to review your dash cam footage on a bigger screen. When a file is selected, you should be able to watch it on the main screen. Below the main screen shows the G-sensor details, while on the right side of the screen, you can access driving details of the video, including the speed, coordinates, and the map/route taken.
Settings Configuration
If you want to change your settings, you can click the gear icon in the top right. It will open a separate window that shows the settings of the viewer. Press firmware settings at the top to go to the settings of your dash cam. If you do change any settings, save it so that they will be applied when you insert the card back into the camera.
Video Playback
Aside from the dedicated mobile apps, formatting an SD card can be done through the dash cam itself. BlackVue usually has a format button that you have to press for around 5 to 10 seconds, and after hearing the voice prompt, you’re done. Another option you can do to format your BlackVue’s micro SD card is via this Viewer.
