Correcting Known Issues with VIOFO Dash Cams

Known Issues:

If you are suddenly experiencing the following issues with your VIOFO A119/A119S, please do not panic as these can usually be resolved by a simple Firmware Update:

  • Frozen on logo screen and does not boot up
  • X's across the LCD screen
  • Buttons not responding
  • Random recording failures

How To:

  1. Format your MicroSD card on your computer
  2. Download the latest version of the firmware
  3. Open the compressed file and Copy (drag and drop) .bin file onto your freshly formatted MicroSD card
  4. Insert the MicroSD card back into your dash cam. The REC light will start to flash rapidly as this updates. DO NOT unplug the power.
  5. Enjoy using your dash cam again
