NOT Compatible with Expansion Battery

This cannot be used with the BlackVue Power Magic Ultra Battery Expansion Pack B-124E or the Cellink NEO Extended Battery Pack. There are currently no expansion options available. Note that the 12V cigarette lighter may not be compatible with all vehicles due to insufficient power draw. In cases like these, we recommend using the hardwiring cable instead. If you would like to use an expansion battery, do consider the PowerCell 8 battery.

BlackVue Power Magic Ultra Battery (B-130X)

7,500mAh/96Wh high-capacity battery designed for parking mode, the B-130X is slightly more compact than its predecessor, the B-124X, but offers 25% more power and is more accurate thanks to the new fuel gauge-integrated circuit. The compact aluminum casing optimizes heat dissipation and lets users easily hide it under a seat or even fit it in a glove compartment.

Although slightly slimmer and more compact, the Power Magic Ultra Battery is a 7,500mAh/96Wh battery pack and offers 25% more power than its predecessor, the B-124X, to give you up to 30 hours of parking mode protection for a 1-channel BlackVue DR900X-Plus (or approximately 19 hours for the dual-channel version).

Fast-Charging While You Drive

The Power Magic Ultra Battery recharges when driving and powers your dash cam when the ignition is off. The B-130X battery comes with two wiring cables:

12V power cable: For a quick and easy installation, simply plug the 12V power cable into your car’s 12V auxiliary power outlet (ie. the cigarette lighter socket) for a full charge in 90 minutes (charging current 5A).

Hardwiring cable: While slightly more complex to install as it requires connection to your car’s fuse panel, it allows the B-130X battery to be charged almost twice as fast in 50 mins (charging current 9A).

Smarter Installation with Wiring Auto Detection

Unlike other batteries, including the B-124X, which have a Low | OFF | High (or Cigaretter | OFF | Hardwire) switch that must be set manually based on the way the battery is wired to the car’s electrical system, the B-130X automatically adapts its power draw to match the wiring method - all you need to do is turn it ON or OFF with the ON/OFF switch.

The Power Magic Ultra Batter (B-130X) supports 12V and 24V electrical systems. It is compatible with most individual and commercial/heavy-duty vehicles.

The B-130X battery also comes with a 5V USB (2A max) power output that you can use to charge any accessories, such as a phone or a WiFi hotspot, to keep your Cloud dash cam connected while in Parking Mode

Fuel Gauge Integrated-Circuit

The B-130X battery capacity readings are more accurate thanks to its fuel gauge integrated circuit. That chip’s role is to constantly analyze the current coming in and out of the battery (especially when the battery is in discharge mode, ie. parking mode) to provide more reliable capacity information. The capacity readings on the B-124X and older BlackVue batteries are estimated purely based on the voltage coming out of the battery.

One app to control it all

Use the same BlackVue App to control dash cam settings, Cloud features, and battery monitoring.

When charging, the app displays charge percentage, charging voltage and expected remaining time until full charge.
When the ignition is off, the app shows the remaining Parking Mode time based on the dash cam’s power consumption.

Could be better

Pro:
Massive capacity, lasts a very long time on a 970x box 2 camera system. Does what it needs to do
Sturdy housing

Cons:
only charges about 15% on a hour long commute. Connected to a feed capable of 20a, yet it barely pulls 5a and just gets extremely hot. On days I don't commute I have to provide it external power, which seems to defeat the purpose?

Bluetooth also doesn't work very well. if the battery is behind/near anything you won't even detect it. I have to have my phone within inches and even then it will sometimes fail to connect.

For the cost I don't feel it worth it, I was hoping to keep in brand for the cloud integration but since it wont stay connected it isn't very helpful.

Great Battery B-130X

Purchased the B-130X for a BlackVue 970X 2CH. Also purchased the Power Inverter to charge the battery in the house. BBMC was excellent to deal with. Order shipped promptly as usual.

Currently using the cigarette lighter plug as opposed to the hardwire method.

The system works perfectly and the battery lasts a couple of days without charging. The only “complaint” is that you cannot connect to the battery via WiFi - BlueTooth only and that range is rather limited.

I have been using BlackVue cameras for many years. This is an expensive addition to an already expensive camera setup, but well worth the investment.

BlackVue B-130X

Purchased this battery and have had it installed for about a week. The purchase from black box my car went very smoothly. The battery works very well for my needs. I commute an hour each way for work so it’s always at its maximum charge when parked and lasts around 22 hours with my DR-900X 2 channel setup. Very pleased with purchase.

Awesome Product

Works as advertised. I have the DR900X Plus 2CH and get approximately 20 hours on a full charge. I have mine hardwired install and charging is fast! Do now that battery protection must be on and low voltage cut off and cut off timers must be off in order for battery to work in parking mode.

Werks - as described. High Quality LFP battery.

Pros: highest legal capacity. lithium iron phosphate chemistry means low risk of explosions, fires, in hot interior car summertime environments. Onboard programming that shuts off charging from car battery when car is off means car's main battery is preserved 100%. Parking mode recording for trips to markets only.
Cons: For 8-12hrs parked during work, 96Wh parking mode recording is inadequate. Inability to stack another unit onto this nevertheless. HIGH price ($400 retail). Proprietary wiring for BlackVue dashcams only. I had to solder/jimmie wiring for my Viofo A139 pro. The fuse tap to interior car fusebox is very sketchy and janky. Caused a fuse to smoke/blow despite correct polarity checked w/multimeter. Perhaps a problem at my car fuse, but in any case I think the included cig lighter is the better solution, but this meant I lose the 9amp charging - only 5amps charging instead, which is adequate charge up over a 40min drive. This is a super quality unit made in Korea and likely the best unit on the market at this time, especially given that alternatives are 95% of it's price anyways. I'd trust BlackVue programming and quality most.
