The VIOFO A229 Pro 1-Channel front camera is equipped with Sony STARVIS 2.0 image sensor. Through the 8MP IMX678 for its front, the VIOFO A229 Pro 1-Channel provides superior footage quality in clarity and colour.

Equipped with multi-exposure HDR, the VIOFO A229 Pro 1-Channel records 4K UHD @ 30 fps at 140º field of view ahead. Compatible with a VIOFO CPL Filter and BlackboxMyCar Aqua Shield for sharper and clearer visibility.

 

Super Night Vision 2.0 and HDR

Apart from Sony STARVIS 2, the VIOFO A229 Pro 1-Channel  is also equipped with Super Night Vision 2.0, promoting the highest sensitivity and lowest noise technology, especially in dark environments. Combined with HDR, it allows for a wide dynamic range, ensuring you are fully covered in various lighting conditions. A true companion for night drives and low-light conditions.

Intelligent Voice Controls and Voice Notifications

For hands-free dash cam controls, the VIOFO A229 Pro 1-Channel with Voice Controls is now easier to use than ever. This allows you to start/stop recording, take images, and turn on/off WiFi by using simple voice commands, keeping you focused on the road. On top of that, it can also notify you with updates on storage, features, recording modes, and video protection status through Voice Notifications.

Built-in 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi and Ultra-Precise GPS

Now equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi, the VIOFO A229 Pro 1-Channel provides 4 times quicker data transfer than 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, with a 2.4GHz and 5GHz Dual-Band connection. Ensuring smooth video previews, faster downloading and sharing of files through the dedicated VIOFO smartphone app. The VIOFO A229 Pro 1-Channel also gives more detailed location, and speed data with its newly-integrated Quad-Mode GPS module.

Multiple Parking Mode Options

Parking Modes guard your car even when you’re not there, giving you peace of mind every day, everywhere. Beyond motion detection, the VIOFO A229 Pro 1-Channel also highlights Buffered Parking Mode. This means that when impact is detected, the dash cam will switch to standard event recording, including the 15 seconds before and 30 seconds after the collision. Moreover, VIOFO’s parking mode options also include:  

  • Auto Event Detection automatically starts recording when movement or impacts are detected.

  • Time Lapse records video continuously at low frames rates to reduce recording size.

  • Low Bitrate Mode continues recording audio and video normally in parking mode, except for using a high compression ratio which allows extended recording times, for example, overnight recording without overwriting the recordings from the previous day.

Purchased the Viofo A229 Pro on a Black Friday sale on line from Blackboxmycar.ca, I received the item promptly and I am very satisfied with the service. I have not installed the dash cam as of yet (weather not corporating, too cold). Would definitely deal with them again, thanks for the great service.
