While other 2K QHD dash cams boast Sony STARVIS 2.0 only for its front, the VIOFO A229 Plus 2-Channel also sports the same image sensor for its rear. Equipped with the 5MP IMX 675 with 2.5x better dynamic range and light sensitivity, the A229 Plus records crisper and more vibrant footage, day and night.

Equipped with multi-exposure HDR for both front and rear, the VIOFO A229 Plus 2-Channel records up to 2K QHD @ 60 fps at 140º field of view ahead, and 2K QHD @ 30 fps for its rear at 160º field of view for wide coverage. Compatible with a VIOFO CPL Filter. and BlackboxMyCar Aqua Shield for sharper and clearer visibility.

Apart from Sony STARVIS 2, the VIOFO A229 Plus 2-Channel is also equipped with Super Night Vision 2.0, promoting the highest sensitivity and lowest noise technology, especially in dark environments. Combined with HDR on both Front and Rear cameras, allowing for a wide dynamic range, ensuring you are fully covered in various lighting conditions.

For hands-free dash cam controls, the VIOFO A229 Plus 2-Channel with Voice Controls is now easier to use than ever. This allows you to start/stop recording, take images, and turn on/off WiFi by using simple voice commands, keeping you focused on the road. On top of that, it can also notify you with updates on storage, features, recording modes, and video protection status through Voice Notifications.

Now equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi, the VIOFO A229 Plus 2-Channel provides 4 times quicker data transfer than 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, with a 2.4GHz and 5GHz Dual-Band connection. Ensuring smooth video previews, faster downloading and sharing of files through the dedicated VIOFO smartphone app. The VIOFO A229 Plus 2-Channel also gives more detailed location, and speed data with its newly-integrated Quad-Mode GPS module.

Parking Modes guard your car even when you’re not there, giving you peace of mind every day, everywhere. Beyond motion detection, the VIOFO A229 Plus 2-Channel also highlights Buffered Parking Mode. This means that when impact is detected, the dash cam will switch to standard event recording, including the 15 seconds before and 30 seconds after the collision. Moreover, VIOFO’s parking mode options also include:  

• Auto Event Detection automatically starts recording when movement or impacts are detected.

• Time Lapse records video continuously at low frames rates to reduce recording size.

• Low Bitrate Mode continues recording audio and video normally in parking mode, except for using a high compression ratio which allows extended recording times, for example, overnight recording without overwriting the recordings from the previous day.
