The PowerCell 8 is a dash cam battery designed, tested and backed by us, BlackboxMyCar. This LiFePO4 battery is engineered and assembled in South Korea.

Sporting a slim design, the PowerCell 8 carries 25% more power than the previous batteries, giving up to 35 hours of parking mode protection for a dual-channel system.

High Capacity, Fast Charging

High Capacity: The PowerCell 8 boasts a robust 96Wh/7500mAh capacity, providing extended operation times for your dash cam without the need for frequent recharging.

Fast Charging: Even with its substantial energy storage, it attains full charge remarkably quickly — in 50 minutes via Hardwire, and 80 via Cigarette Lighter Adapter.

Check Battery Status In Seconds

The BlackboxMyCar PowerCell 8 comes with Bluetooth built-in, using the Cellink NEO Plus Battery Manager App, available for free.

Access the battery's performance in seconds with a few taps, even when the PowerCell 8 is installed out of sight.

You can use the Battery Manager App to:

  • Check remaining capacity and time to full charge
  • Control settings like stopping charging, beep on/off, and setting a password

USB Power Outlet

Featuring a 5V USB 3.0 power outlet, the PowerCell 8 can be used to charge various devices, such as your cell phone, or a mobile hotspot to supply an all in-one cloud setup with a Cloud dash cam.

Add an Expansion Battery for More Power

Changing Passwords

If you are planning on changing the battery password, you will need to enter the default password '1234' when prompted for the old password.

Note: There is no password retrieval or reset function. Password reset is a function that can only be performed by technicians at the manufacturer. The Reset function within the Battery Manager App is for resetting the default battery settings (ie. the Dual Charger setting) only and will not reset the password back to the default "1234".

Because of this, we strongly recommend that you don't change the password unless you absolutely needed to, and if you do change it, make sure to keep a record of the new password. Once you have changed the password, you will be asked to re-enter it every time you access the Settings menu within the Battery Manager App.

Works like a champ. Had it professionally installed. Had trouble connecting it to my phone but their support was super responsive and helpful. Turns out there was an error on their website, it listed the correct app to download but the link took you to the wrong version. They were super responsive and asked for my help to correct the issue.

Battery charges fast, right now bc I have three channels on low bitrate mode it should last about 12 hours. Which is plenty for my needs.

Working but..

All features are working as tested, still haven't used the hardwire. Not sure if the battery pack or my viofo a329 is the problem. I cannot get the length of time that supposed to achieved with fully charge battery, either low bitrate or auto event detection or time lapse recording. Still testing..

BEWARE. ADVERTISING DISCEPTION. I place the order for a $799.00 bundle to include the dashcam the order went is minus the dashcam and charged the bundle price. when I found out they said they were out of stock on dash cam and the system shouldnt accepted my order but did and then changed the bundle pricing and wouldn't give me the dashcam. I have heard from other people they do this alot and then blame their online software had a gliche. :(

Not worth the money.

The battery last less than 12 hours with a 100% full charge. (I’m lucky if I get 9 hours) Company said it would last at least 24 hours. Complete waste of money. I would not recommend.

POWER IS WITH CELLINK-8

The Cellink-8 battery pack effectively provides sufficient power to power my dash cam. Its size allows it to fit in my glove box and also in a faux leather seat trash bag next to the passenger seat. The Cellink -8 battery back also works in conjunction with the Cellink Neo, which is a good combination of power source and protection.
