Overview

The easiest way to use Parking Mode

In terms of functionality, the OBD-II cable essentially achieves the same result as hardwiring your dash cam to your vehicle’s fuse panel. It supplies power to the dash cam even when the vehicle is parked, and the BlackVue monitors the power level to shut down if the voltage drops too low (you can adjust the cutoff level using the BlackVue App).

The main advantage of the OBD-II Power Cable is its convenience. Simply plug it in, and you’re all set. It’s likely the easiest solution for enabling Parking Mode.

Compatible with most BlackVue dash cams

All BlackVue dash cams that have a built-in voltage monitor are supported. In other words, the BOC-300 supports most models since the DR750X/DR900X Series. If your BlackVue dash cam came with a Hardwiring Power Cable (with yellow, red and ground wires), then it is compatible with the OBD II Power Cable.

Supported models:

  • DR970X Series
  • DR970X LTE Series
  • DR900X Plus Series
  • DR750X Plus Series
  • DR900X Series
  • DR750X Series

Easy power hookup

Used this to power my BlackVue Dash Camera. Also used a Obd2 splitter to keep access to port for diagnostics. Have done this in several vehicles with great success and easy removal if needed.

Warning: Works great but doesn't support 2024 FIAT 500e

I had the old Power Magic EZ which did the job fine delivering constant power to my old Blackvue 750S on my 2015 FIAT 500e but it longer worked for the new FIAT. I bought this and took this opportunity to upgrade the dashcam to 970X. It did do the job fine but somehow FIAT decided that the OBD port is switched (cuts off after 5 minutes) instead of constant power.
